A scene from close to home for me, out on an early morning walk at sunrise in Staffordshire. This stunning tree caught my eye half frozen and half alive the sun lighting up the half dead part.

Before sunrise, lights still on in the buildings and the fog lingering in the low ground which follows the river dove snaking though the valley.
A fine morning on top of the Roaches in Staffordshire. Lucky enough to watch a cloud inversion down below, as the sun rises and pushes the clouds up the side of the gritstone and the sun cast some great light in the foreground....
On the left you can see the rocky feature of Peaseland Rocks as the River Dove flows through Wolfscote Dale. The high ground in the distance in the sun is Drabber Tor.
On my way down from the Roaches after sunrise I stopped to admire this wonderful scene unfold revealing the small village of Blackshaw Moor on the edge of the Peak District Staffordshire Moorlands.
