On my way down from the Roaches after sunrise I stopped to admire this wonderful scene unfold revealing the small village of Blackshaw Moor on the edge of the Peak District Staffordshire Moorlands.

Before sunrise, lights still on in the buildings and the fog lingering in the low ground which follows the river dove snaking though the valley.

The church of St Bartholomew in Butterton standing out of the morning fog.

Clouds lingering at Butterton village, whilst the church of St Bartholomew dominates the surrounding landscape and the sheep graze.
